  1. What a wonderful little cabin!!! Not only was it CLEAN but when we arrived we were greeted with soft music playing, a “fire” flickering and a basket of goodies on our bed. Would highly recommend this cabin to any couple needing to get away for a weekend of romance and relaxation! Big thanks to the Eckert’s for making our anniversary so very memorable! What a blessing it was to find this place! =)

  2. I am not exactly sure where to start. This was the most amazing getaway that my husband and I have ever had. This getaway is the perfect way to renew and revitalize. The welcoming touches are surpassed by no other. Nature’s Nook is a wonderful little cabin with a lot of amenities. The back deck facing the woods in the rising sun was the perfect place to have a cup of coffee and listen to the birds singing. The hot tub was phenomenal. The ambience that was left for us to enter was beyond compare and has set a high bar for us in romantic getaways. I don’t think that we will ever be able to be as happy anywhere else. We would recommend this little getaway to anyone. The cleanliness and freshness of the cabin was like it was brand new. Dave and Regina are very gracious hosts. Kudos to you both and thank you for a very lovely weekend. Michael and I left feeling rested, renewed and revitalized.

  4. Just wanted to say that we had a GREAT!!! time this weekend in the NOOK. It was very relaxing and romantic. The cabin was more than I ever could have imagined and I don’t know if I’ll ever be able to stay in a normal hotel room again. It was like we were staying in a friends cabin for the weekend, not a rented space. Best wishes that you will be booked solid except for the next time we are ready to come and stay. We are hoping to come back again in the early fall to see the trees as they start to change colors. The movie selection was great. Thanks for the GREAT WEEKEND.

    Well the snow came and the area was covered in white! It was great! My wife and I now make it a tradition to come stay at these cabins every year the week before the 14th ..Valentines Day…wow what can we say, its always perfect!….you know you have something when everyone keeps making the trip back to stay over and over….the attention to detail these great people put into making our and everyones stay a moment to remember is fantastic.
    I also must say how much my wife and I love the movies in the cabin…we saw “Flywheel” and “Facing the Giants” last year…and yes we now have them in our home collection also and this time “Fireproof” which I just ordered…..Great Job you two! We tell all our friends about your hidden piece of paradise out there in Hillsboro…and yes we will be back!

  6. My husband and I spent New Years Eve and Day at Nature’s Nook. It was the best time we have ever had to bring in the New Year. I just want to thank the Eckert’s for allowing Santa to return to the cabin to leave me and my husband 2 small gifts. The decorations were absolutely beautiful. This was our second time visiting and it was great! Thank you, Thank you, Thank you. We will be back soon.

  7. My husband and I stayed there for our honeymoon in June 2 years ago. It was really nice and quiet and a lot of fun. We loved the hot tub. We are going to try to come back for our 2 yr. anniversary. I’ve also recommended it to a friend of mine that’s getting married.

  8. We loved staying in the cabin just about a year ago. It was such a wonderful time for me and my husband. I will always remember the beautiful, very peaceful and private patio area. This was the best getaway that I could have ever found just doing a search for cozy getaways close to our home. We plan on coming back real soon.

  9. We love staying in the Country Charm Cabin. We started a couple years ago and will continue every year until we can no longer drive to the cabin. The views, lakes, and antique shopping fill our weekend with so much fun and great memories. There is so much to do and so little time to do them. I tell everyone I know about this beautiful place. We are always showing pictures too. This is by far the best getaway for us and we will always treasure our memories together.

  10. We stayed in the Country Charm over the 4th of July weekend,2009. It was breath taking as soon as we entered the door. The starter kit to a wonderful weekend was absolutley adorable. When we opened the back door we were thrilled with the privacy we had.The music playing when we walked in was just the right touch to bring tears to your eyes.We will never plan a get-a-way weekend anywhere else. We really didn’t want to come back to reality. I have booked the Nature’s Nook for my son & his wife while he is in from Afghanistan for his R&R before returning. There is no better gift I could give them…hands down.

  11. We stayed at the Country Charm Cabin last summer (2008) to celebrate my graduation from nursing school. It was a wonderful relaxing weekend which we both enjoyed immensely! The cabin was cozy and charming. We especially enjoyed the hot tub and grilling steaks on the back deck! We appreciated the peaceful setting. The getaway was just what we needed! Thanks Dave and Regina for making our stay special! We definitely plan to return!

  12. My husband Jami brought me here to Country Charm Cabin for my 32nd birthday. It was wonderful! The hot tub was really relaxing and the snow everywhere was amazing. I wouldn’t change a thing about this cabin!!!! This is home away from home. We will be back soon!

  13. We spent our honeymoon getaway here! It was so beautiful. When we first came in we both said “WOW”! It was very warm, smelled fantastic and best of all it was personalized with gifts for us and robes. I am in the Marine Corp so not only was it nice to escape the hardship of that, but to be able to relax with my wife was the best I have felt in years!

  14. We had a wonderful time at the Nature’s Nook Cabin. I could not imagine staying anywhere else. I can not tell you all the times I said “This is so cool”. All the special things they have done, WOW! We will be back again. We live 367 miles away, but it is well worth the drive!

    Have stayed in many cabins–Ohio, Tennesee, West Virginia–this was by far the best!!! Beauty, relaxation, peaceful, romantic—I could go on and on, but if you are looking for a place to escape with that special someone, this is the place to go.

  16. My wife and I spent 2 nights at Serenity Log Cabins and it was perfect for us. The peacefulness and being away from all of the activities was wonderful. We like something that is away from the hustle and bustle of life, where just the 2 of us can be together and this fits that perfectly. The hot tub was wonderful and made me want to start saving up for one of our own. The personal touches made us feel special and the cleanliness was tops. If you need a break from all that is happening in your life, book a night or 2 or 3 at Serenity Log Cabins. It’s well worth the effort.

  17. Mary and I spent the weekend of 2/7-2/9/09 at Serenity….I must say how impressed both of us were. I have stayed at many cabins ..especially in the Smokies and nothing compared to the attention to detail these wonderful people put into our 2 day stay…from the moment we set foot inside….the personalization made this the best stay at a cabin we ever had….I was so impressed that a good friend is getting married…we have decided to send them here for their honeymoon…and yes we will be back ….

  18. My husband and I were privileged to stay in the adorable Nature’s Nook cabin this past summer. When we arrived at the cabin everything was personalized…which made us feel so SPECIAL and planned for! =) There was a fun romantic basket sitting on the bed. We LOVED the cabin, the decorations, the hot tub, the chimenea, the private drive, the neat little lights lining the drive, the beautiful landscape outside… we loved EVERYTHING!! It was soooo fun just having such a neat, clean and wonderful place to get away together and relax!! Since we live in South America we don’t get a chance to go too often…but we would love to visit the cabins again when we can. =)

  19. Beautiful little cabins! We love these cabins, especially since they are so close. When we want a quiet, romantic time with just US we go to these cabins. I think that we have stayed in these cabins at least 3x’s. They are always VERY CLEAN, Cozy, Warm & Lots of personal touches! We highly Recommend these cabins for a Peaceful getaway. We are waiting for it to snow when we have some time to get away to go again during Winter ‘09. Love it when it snows while using the Hot tub! :-)

  20. I have stayed in Serenity Log Cabins three times since the Eckert’s have owned them. It was a fun experience to go to each cabin with its unique, but different decor, and extreme cleanliness! The personal touches as you enter are very welcoming! It is evident that time and care is put into getting ready for your scheduled stay! The quiet atmosphere makes it easy for you to get all the rest you need -and the bed is comfortable. It was fun grilling out on the back porch and the hot tub is marvelous. It was worth the price!

    I highly recommend anyone to try this wonderful getaway. You won’t be sorry! I am looking forward to going back again. Every time I have gone, there has been some kind of nice improvement!
